Kimberly-Clark continues to trash forests to manufacture disposable tissue products. They continue to buy pulp from logging companies that are clearcutting the Boreal forest and they continue to manufacture products like Kleenex brand facial tissue and toilet paper made solely of virgin tree fibre. They continue to flush forests down the toilet everyday.
Over 10,000 letters have been sent from www.kleercut.net to the CEO of Kimberly-Clark, Thomas Falk, and over 30,000 more have been sent from other action centers on this issue. Because it seems that Mr. Falk isn’t listening to our concerns, it’s time to take the message to his bosses, the Board of Directors of Kimberly-Clark! Now is the perfect opportunity to send them a message that turning ancient forests into throwaway products is wrong.
It’s time to issue a challenge.
Wanted for forest crimes: any Director unwilling to take action to protect forests
Challenge the Board of Directors to make Kimberly-Clark a leader in the paper industry by maximizing the recycled content of their tissue products and ending the purchase of pulp from clearcut ancient forests like the Boreal. Send them a message through the new action center.
CHALLENGE THE BOARD TO TAKE ACTION NOW.
Challenge your friends and family.
After you are done challenging the Board of Directors, challenge your friends to take action to protect forests. Issue them the Toilet Paper Challenge by sending them a free e-postcard and get them to challenge the Board of Directors as well!
