The Greenpeace Canada team works very hard at defending the
environment. Sometimes education, awareness and lobbying are just not enough for us to achieve our specific objectives. Many institutions and organisations just don't want to change even if they are counscious of the negative consequences of some of their practices. In these situations, actions are of last resort. We use them to show the serious issues behind our campaigns and at the same time they enable us to gain more media coverage on the subect in question. For these reasons I realise the importance of actions. This is why I am commited to Greenpeace and why I will participate and support any activity that is for the greater good of the environment.
